★ My top favorite name picks that are not on the top 100 list

If you know the name of my children, you probably know that I am not a huge fan of standard names. I like names that you don’t hear too often and are unique, although there are other reasons as to why we chose are daughters names.

Our oldest daughters name is Kamyha (pronounced Cu-my-uh)
The name came to my dad in a vision/thought/dream sort of thing before we had found out the gender. The original name we had chosen was Allayna Marie. Now that I look back I am so glad we didn’t give her that name because me and my husband both have an “Alaina” in our family and it isn’t as unique as I had once thought it was Suprisingly, we have met 3 other Kamyha’s although they are different races and their names are spelled differently. I love her name (Kamyha Grace) and I think it fits her perfectly!

Our middle daughters name is Kendalyn (pronounced Kendal-lynn, which is pretty obvious)
The reason we chose that name is because my dad’s name is Kenneth and I wanted something with “lyn” in it. The name I originally had picked was “Emmalyn” and I found out that name also wasn’t as unique as I had thought, although the spelling is usually different. We have met 1 Kendalyn since we have had her and the name was spelled the same. I am so glad we chose the name Kendalyn Joy (very similar to my dad’s name – Kenneth Joe) and oddly enough Kendalyn has smiled since birth so “Joy” fits her perfectly.

Our youngest daughters name is Mercy (pronounced like the word “Mercy”) The first time I heard the name it was at church and it was a little girl that went there’s name. I fell in love with it but didn’t really have any plans to give it to any future children. Originally Mercy was going to be Karamie but I didn’t really want a third K (if you know what I mean) and wanted to venture away from it. The name Mercy kind of still stuck in my head and I fell in love with the name all over again. It went well with our “Grace” and “Joy” theme despite the fact it was being used as a first name.  I didn’t really know what name went well with Mercy but after much thought we decided to go with Amelia. I love the name Mercy Amelia so much and I believe it fits her so well.

As you can probably guess “Kamyha” “Kendalyn” and “Mercy” make my top favorite list. Here are some more of my personal favorites:
